Responsibility
- Conduct regular patrols on foot and by vehicle to deter crime and ensure safety across assigned posts
- Respond promptly to alarms, incidents, and emergencies; coordinate with the control room and local authorities
- Enforce security protocols including access control, visitor management, and safeguarding facilities and assets
- Document incidents with clear, timely reports; maintain accurate logs and ensure information is stored in the system
- Provide courteous assistance to the public and direct individuals as needed
- Operate security equipment, radios, surveillance tools, and participate in drills and training
- Collaborate with police and other agencies to support investigations and information sharing
- Uphold APO code of conduct, uphold professional standards, and work effectively as part of a team
Qualification
- Must be a Singapore Citizen or Permanent Resident eligible to work in Singapore
- Minimum education: GCE O-Level or equivalent; higher qualifications considered an asset
- At least 18 years old with good physical fitness and ability to pass fitness assessment
- Clean criminal record and able to meet security background checks
- Strong spoken and written English; good interpersonal and customer service skills
- Willingness to work rotating shifts including nights, weekends, and public holidays
- Basic computer literacy and ability to use security reporting systems
- Prior security or APO experience is a plus but not required
