BioNexus Labs is seeking a curious and results-driven Biology Research Scientist to join our multidisciplinary team in Boston. You will design and execute experiments in molecular biology and cellular biology, translate data into actionable insights, and contribute to the development of next-generation diagnostics and therapeutics. Responsibility
- Design, optimize, and conduct experiments in molecular and cellular biology, including culture, assays, and sequencing workflows.
- Plan and execute studies, collect and analyze data, and interpret results to drive project decisions.
- Develop and validate assays, maintain rigorous documentation, and ensure data integrity.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including scientists, engineers, and clinical partners to translate findings into actionable outcomes.
- Maintain and troubleshoot laboratory equipment, manage inventory, and uphold safety and compliance standards.
- Prepare technical reports, presentations, and manuscripts for internal and external stakeholders.
- Mentor junior staff and contribute to grant writing and project planning as needed.
Qualification
- Master's degree in Biology, Biotechnology, or a closely related field; PhD preferred.
- 2+ years of hands-on laboratory experience in molecular biology or cell biology.
- Proficiency with data analysis tools (Python, R, or equivalent) and Excel.
- Experience with qPCR, ELISA, Western blot, cell culture, and basic sterile technique.
- Strong written and verbal communication, with track record of clear reporting and presentations.
- Ability to work independently and in cross-functional teams; excellent organizational skills.
- Commitment to safety, quality, and regulatory compliance (GLP/GxP awareness a plus).
