Private Advertiser invites experienced culinary professionals to join our maritime operations as a Cook / OS on an international voyage. Based in Manila City, Metro Manila, this full time role is ideal for individuals who thrive in dynamic, shipboard environments and who are dedicated to delivering high quality meals while supporting daily galley operations.
In this role you will prepare nutritious meals for the crew according to planned menus and dietary requirements, supervise galley hygiene, and maintain a clean, organized kitchen. You will work closely with the ship's officers and deck crew to align meal services with voyage schedules, weather conditions, and port call itineraries. You will also manage inventory, rotate stock to minimize waste, and coordinate with procurement to ensure timely availability of fresh ingredients. Your attention to safety and sanitation will help ensure compliance with international maritime standards and company policies.

Responsibility
- Prepare and cook meals for crew according to menu plans and dietary requirements
- Maintain galley cleanliness and adhere to shipboard sanitation standards
- Monitor inventory, rotate stock, and coordinate with procurement for supplies
- Assist in menu planning, portion control, and food cost management
- Operate and maintain kitchen equipment safely, reporting any malfunctions
- Support general galley operations and assist other crew as needed
- Document meal records and daily log of food services
- Collaborate with bosun and deck crew to ensure smooth ship operations
Qualification
- Previous experience as cook or shipboard steward is preferred
- Knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and HACCP standards
- Ability to work long shifts and in confined spaces
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
- Physically fit with the ability to lift and stand for extended periods
- Willingness to relocate and work on international voyages
- Basic math and inventory management skills
- STCW certification or maritime training is a plus
