North Star Community Foundation is seeking an experienced Development and Communications Manager to lead fundraising initiatives, build donor relationships, and raise awareness for our mission to empower underserved communities in the Seattle region.
In this role you will collaborate with programs, finance, and leadership to design and execute compelling campaigns, manage donor CRM, plan engaging events, and oversee communications across channels.

Responsibility
- Develop and implement a comprehensive fundraising strategy to meet annual revenue targets
- Manage donor relations, including stewardship, appeals, and donor recognition
- Plan and execute fundraising campaigns, events, and digital campaigns
- Oversee grant writing and management, including tracking deadlines and reporting
- Collaborate with programs and leadership to tell impact stories through annual reports and communications
- Maintain and optimize donor CRM data, analytics, and segmentation
- Coordinate marketing materials, website content, and social media to raise awareness
- Lead volunteer and stakeholder engagement initiatives
Qualification
- Bachelor degree in nonprofit management, communications, marketing, or related field
- Minimum 3-5 years of fundraising, development, or nonprofit communications experience
- Proven track record in donor cultivation and major gifts recommended
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Experience with donor CRM systems such as Salesforce or equivalent
- Excellent project management and attention to detail
- Ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams and volunteers
