Responsibility
- Develop, implement, and manage digital archiving workflows for diverse collections.
- Catalog, digitize, and metadata-tag electronic records using advanced archiving systems.
- Preserve and migrate legacy media and digital files to ensure long-term accessibility.
- Collaborate with IT and library teams to secure archival infrastructure and maintain best practices.
- Conduct quality assurance on digitized content, ensuring accuracy and authenticity.
- Facilitate access to digital archives for internal staff and external partners, managing user permissions.
- Create detailed documentation and usage guidelines for archived materials.
- Monitor emerging trends and technologies to optimize digital archiving processes.
Qualification
- Bachelor’s degree in Library Science, Information Management, or related field (MLS/MLIS preferred).
- Proven experience with digital archiving systems and metadata standards (Dublin Core, EAD, MODS).
- Expertise in digital preservation best practices and data migration principles.
- Skilled in using archiving software, content management systems, and cloud solutions.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and documentation abilities.
- Familiarity with copyright, data privacy, and intellectual property considerations.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a multidisciplinary environment.
