Job description

Global Accord Institute seeks a high-caliber Diplomacy Analyst to strengthen research, negotiation support, and policy advisory for international organizations, embassies, and think tanks. This role merges rigorous geopolitical analysis with practical stakeholder engagement to drive informed diplomacy strategies.

As a Diplomacy Analyst, you will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to produce briefs, forecasts, and scenario analyses that inform high-stakes negotiations and public diplomacy initiatives. You will translate complex developments into actionable recommendations for senior leadership and external partners.

Responsibility

  • Conduct in-depth geopolitical and policy analyses to inform negotiation strategies and decision making.
  • Monitor EU institutions, member states, and global actors to identify opportunities and risks.
  • Produce briefing notes, risk assessments, and scenario analyses for senior leadership.
  • Lead outreach and relationship-building with governments, embassies, international organizations, and think tanks.
  • Develop evidence-based recommendations and policy papers for clients and stakeholders.
  • Prepare persuasive talking points, op-eds, and public diplomacy materials.
  • Support event planning and representation at meetings, workshops, and conferences.
  • Manage research projects, timelines, and quality control to ensure timely delivery.

Qualification

  • Master's degree in International Relations, Political Science, Public Policy, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in diplomacy, policy analysis, or international affairs.
  • Strong understanding of EU policy processes and international governance frameworks.
  • Exceptional analytical writing and briefing skills, with the ability to produce clear, evidence-based reports.
  • Proven stakeholder management and negotiation experience.
  • Multilingual preferred; fluent in English required; additional languages such as French, Dutch, or German are a plus.
  • Ability to work in Brussels with flexibility for occasional travel.
