We’re seeking a proactive Diplomacy Policy Advisor to drive research, draft policy briefs, and support high-level engagement with government, multilateral organizations, and partner NGOs.
In this role, you will collaborate with a global network to translate complex developments into clear, actionable policy recommendations for senior leadership and external partners.
Responsibility
- Lead research and analysis on international security, trade, and diplomacy strategies.
- Prepare policy briefs, position papers, and negotiation briefs for senior leadership.
- Support high-level dialogues, conferences, and intergovernmental meetings.
- Build and manage stakeholder mapping, coalitions, and partner relationships.
- Monitor and report on global developments impacting diplomatic risk and opportunity.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate research into actionable policy.
Qualification
- Master's degree in International Relations, Political Science, or related field; PhD preferred.
- 5+ years’ experience in diplomacy, government, or think tanks.
- Strong understanding of international organizations (UN, EU, etc.) and multilateral negotiations.
- Excellent analytical, writing, and verbal communication; ability to present to senior audiences.
- Proven track record in policy analysis, negotiations, and stakeholder engagement.
- Fluency in English; additional languages (German, French, Spanish) are a plus.
- Willingness to base in Vienna with occasional travel.
