Summit Surveyors, a leading geomatics firm, is seeking a Field Surveyor to join our Denver team. You will perform accurate field surveys on infrastructure, land development, and municipal projects, providing reliable data for design and permitting.
In a collaborative, safety focused environment, you will work with cross functional teams to deliver high quality survey deliverables and foster client relationships.
Responsibility
- Perform precise field surveys using GNSS, total station, data collectors, and traverse methods.
- Record accurate field notes and prepare survey deliverables with clear, compliant maps and plats.
- Stakeout, boundary retracement, topographic surveys, and utility locating coordination.
- Maintain and calibrate survey equipment; manage inventory and field safety protocols.
- Process field data, generate CAD Civil 3D and GIS ready deliverables; assist in QA and QC.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and clients to ensure timely, accurate results.
- Support proposal work, field crew training, and continued professional development.
Qualification
- Bachelor's degree in Geomatics, Surveying, Civil Engineering, or related field or equivalent field experience.
- 2+ years of field surveying experience. Licensed Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) is a plus.
- Proficiency with GNSS (RTK), total station, and data collection instruments.
- Strong computer skills with AutoCAD Civil 3D and ArcGIS or QGIS for deliverable creation.
- Ability to interpret legal descriptions and produce boundary and topographic maps with accuracy.
- Excellent communication, time management, and teamwork; valid driver's license; ability to work in varied weather conditions.
