Responsibility

  • Carry out field surveys using Total Station, GNSS/RTK and conventional techniques to capture accurate coordinates and elevations.
  • Prepare stakeouts, control networks, as-built measurements, and topographic surveys for design teams.
  • Operate survey equipment, verify calibration, and maintain field notes with meticulous detail.
  • Process field data and perform QA/QC checks before transferring data to CAD/GIS platforms.
  • Coordinate with project managers, civil engineers, and construction teams to ensure survey milestones are met on schedule.
  • Interpret site plans, legal descriptions, and easement documents; resolve discrepancies in the field.
  • Ensure safety protocols, equipment maintenance, and compliance with local surveying standards.
  • Support mapping and GIS initiatives by exporting data and generating prepared survey deliverables.

Qualification

  • Associate or Bachelor's degree in Surveying, Geomatics, Civil Engineering, or a related field; relevant field experience acceptable.
  • Hold or be pursuing a professional surveying license or intern registration (preferred).
  • 2+ years of field surveying experience with GNSS/RTK, total stations, and data collection.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D or MicroStation; familiarity with GIS software is a plus.
  • Strong knowledge of surveying principles, datum, leveling, and standard OSHA safety practices.
  • Excellent problem-solving, attention to detail, and communication skills; able to work in varying weather conditions.
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record; ability to travel to multiple sites as needed.
