Job description

PrimeFlow HVAC Solutions is seeking a skilled HVAC Technician to join our growing team in Austin, TX. You will install, service, and repair heating and cooling systems for residential and light commercial clients. We value craftsmanship, safety, and outstanding customer service.

In this role, you will diagnose issues, perform preventative maintenance, replace components, and ensure system efficiency. You will read schematic diagrams, troubleshoot refrigerants and electrical controls, and document all work in our service software.

Responsibility

  • Install, diagnose, repair and maintain residential and light commercial HVAC systems (air conditioning, heating, ventilation)
  • Perform preventative maintenance and system tune-ups to maximize efficiency and reliability
  • Troubleshoot refrigerant systems, electrical controls, and safety devices
  • Read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and equipment schedules
  • Install ductwork, sheet metal components, and ventilation equipment as required
  • Document service activities and manage parts inventory
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and local codes, including EPA refrigerant handling requirements
  • Provide excellent customer service and communicate findings and recommendations clearly

Qualification

  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical HVAC certification preferred
  • EPA 608 Certification (Type I or universal) required
  • 3+ years of hands-on HVAC installation and service experience
  • Strong knowledge of electrical systems, refrigerants, controls, and safety standards
  • Ability to read blueprints and schematics; experience with ductwork and sheet metal
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record; ability to pass background check
  • Excellent diagnostic, troubleshooting, and communication skills
