Job description
Join Mataram Consultancy as an L1 Kubernetes / DevOps Engineer and play a crucial role in keeping our containerized workloads healthy and accessible. This onsite role in Jakarta focuses on providing Level 1 support for Kubernetes clusters, monitoring system performance, troubleshooting incidents, aiding deployments, and maintaining comprehensive documentation that guides operations and development teams.
As an L1 engineer, you will partner with software developers and IT operations to ensure reliable container orchestration, rapid incident response, and continual improvement of CI/CD pipelines. You will gain hands-on experience with Kubernetes, Docker, Linux systems, and monitoring toolchains, while building a solid foundation in automation, security best practices, and incident management. This position is an excellent entry point for those aspiring to progress into DevOps, SRE, or cloud engineering roles.
What you will do on a day-to-day basis includes monitoring cluster health, managing deployments and rollouts, assisting with configuration changes, and maintaining runbooks and knowledge bases to help the team move faster and with less risk. You will communicate clearly with stakeholders, document key decisions, and participate in on-call rotations as needed. If you are proactive, curious, and customer-focused, you will thrive in this role with Mataram Consultancy.
Our technology stack includes Kubernetes, Docker, container registries, Helm for packaging, and monitoring with Prometheus and Grafana. You will work with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins or GitLab CI, practice infrastructure as code, and contribute to security and compliance practices in a fast-paced environment in Jakarta.
