Responsibility

  • Oversee daily livestock operations across cattle and poultry units, ensuring optimal welfare and productivity.
  • Develop and implement herd health plans, vaccination schedules, and biosecurity protocols in collaboration with veterinarians.
  • Monitor housing, bedding, ventilation, feed supply, and manure management to maintain clean, safe facilities.
  • Manage budgets, procurement, inventory, and cost-control measures for feed, medications, and supplies.
  • Lead, train, and supervise farm crew; assign tasks and uphold safety standards and regulatory compliance.
  • Track production metrics, recording-keeping, and performance data to drive continuous improvement.
  • Coordinate with veterinarians, extension services, and suppliers to optimize operations and welfare programs.

Qualification

  • 3+ years of livestock farming management experience; cattle and poultry experience preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of nutrition, health management, vaccination, and biosecurity practices.
  • Proven leadership skills with ability to train and motivate a diverse team.
  • Analytical mindset with experience interpreting production data and managing budgets.
  • Excellent problem-solving, decision-making, and communication skills.
