As Livestock Farm Manager, you will oversee daily livestock operations, implement comprehensive herd health and welfare programs, and coordinate feed, housing, and facility maintenance. Responsibility
- Oversee daily livestock operations across cattle and poultry units, ensuring optimal welfare and productivity.
- Develop and implement herd health plans, vaccination schedules, and biosecurity protocols in collaboration with veterinarians.
- Monitor housing, bedding, ventilation, feed supply, and manure management to maintain clean, safe facilities.
- Manage budgets, procurement, inventory, and cost-control measures for feed, medications, and supplies.
- Lead, train, and supervise farm crew; assign tasks and uphold safety standards and regulatory compliance.
- Track production metrics, recording-keeping, and performance data to drive continuous improvement.
- Coordinate with veterinarians, extension services, and suppliers to optimize operations and welfare programs.
Qualification
- 3+ years of livestock farming management experience; cattle and poultry experience preferred.
- Strong knowledge of nutrition, health management, vaccination, and biosecurity practices.
- Proven leadership skills with ability to train and motivate a diverse team.
- Analytical mindset with experience interpreting production data and managing budgets.
- Excellent problem-solving, decision-making, and communication skills.
- Ability to operate and maintain basic farm equipment and infrastructure, and ensure safety compliance.
- Valid driver's license; willingness to work flexible hours including weekends during peak seasons.
