Responsibility
- Oversee daily museum operations including visitor services, admissions, safety, and facilities management.
- Lead collections care, cataloging, and accessioning in collaboration with curatorial staff.
- Develop and manage the annual budget, procurement, and vendor contracts.
- Coordinate security, risk management, and emergency response planning.
- Plan and deliver engaging public programs, tours, and education initiatives.
- Supervise and mentor staff and volunteers, fostering a positive, inclusive work culture.
- Collaborate with external partners, donors, and grant funders to support museum initiatives.
Qualification
- Bachelor's degree in museum studies, history, arts administration, or related field
- 5+ years in museum operations or collections management
- Strong leadership, communication, and project management skills
- Experience with museum software such as TMS, PastPerfect, or similar systems
- Knowledge of conservation practices and safety standards
- Grant writing, fundraising, or sponsorship development is a plus
- Ability to work evenings, weekends, and special events
- Fluent in English; additional languages a plus
