Horizon Sound Studio is seeking a proactive Music Producer Assistant to support our creative team in crafting chart-ready tracks and compelling sonic identities. This role blends studio collaboration with hands-on production tasks and project coordination.
Based in Nashville, you will work with seasoned producers, engineers, and artists to help bring songs from conception to final mix, while gaining exposure to industry workflows, licensing, and publishing processes.
Responsibility
- Assist lead producers in arranging sessions, track setup, and session documentation
- Organize and manage session schedules, stems, and project folders to keep the studio running smoothly
- Support editing, arrangement ideas, and rough mix preparation for reference tracks
- Contribute creative ideas during pre-production and post-production stages
- Coordinate clear communication with artists, managers, and engineers
- Assist with sample and plugin management, workflow optimization, and gear checklists
- Help with licensing, metadata, and catalog organization for publishing teams
- Support quality assurance for final deliverables and versioning across formats
Qualification
- Bachelor's degree in Music Production, Audio Engineering, or related field (or equivalent hands-on experience)
- 1-3 years in a recording studio, production assistant role, or artist collaboration
- Strong knowledge of DAWs (Pro Tools, Logic Pro, Ableton Live) and plugin ecosystems
- Solid understanding of music theory, arrangement, and sonic storytelling
- Excellent organization, communication, and time-management skills
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced studio environment and adapt to shifting priorities
- Passion for music across genres and a collaborative mindset
- Willingness to relocate to Nashville, TN or commute to Music Row
