Northwind Records, a fast-growing indie label based in Nashville, invites you to apply for the role of Music Production & Artist Relations Specialist. This is a hands-on position that blends creative production work with strategic artist outreach, ideal for someone who thrives in a collaborative, music-first environment.
You will partner with producers, engineers, and artists to shape sonic branding, coordinate recording sessions, and expand our creator network. Responsibility
- Lead supervision of music production projects from pre-production to final delivery, ensuring high-quality sound and on-time deadlines.
- Collaborate with producers, engineers, and artists to develop sonic branding and track lists for releases.
- Coordinate recording sessions, scheduling, budgeting, and vendor management.
- Assist in mixing and mastering workflow, provide feedback, and manage revision cycles.
- Identify and outreach to potential artist partnerships, sponsorships, and collaboration opportunities.
- Manage archival metadata, asset organization, and delivery to DSPs.
- Support marketing team with content for social media, press releases, and behind-the-scenes content.
- Maintain studio equipment inventory and coordinate maintenance or procurement as needed.
Qualification
- 2+ years in music production, studio engineering, or artist relations; a track record of released work is a plus.
- Proficiency with DAWs (Pro Tools, Ableton Live, Logic Pro) and high-fidelity monitoring.
- Strong hearing, mixing and mastering skills; ability to translate artistic vision into sonic reality.
- Excellent project management, organization, and communication with cross-functional teams.
- Network-building skills; ability to identify and engage with emerging artists and collaborators.
- Detail-oriented with ability to manage budgets and schedules; comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of music licensing, rights management, and DSP submission requirements (preferably).
- Legal authorization to work in the United States.
