Job description

Responsibility

  • Conduct original research in ethics, epistemology, logic, metaphysics, or philosophy of mind, resulting in publishable papers.
  • Develop and teach undergraduate seminars and guest lectures.
  • Collaborate with cross disciplinary teams on AI ethics, technology, and society projects.
  • Translate complex philosophical ideas into accessible content for public programs and online platforms.
  • Mentor graduate and undergraduate researchers; supervise capstone projects.
  • Review and edit manuscripts, grant proposals, and conference submissions.
  • Represent the institute at conferences, symposia, and external events.
  • Contribute to grant writing and program evaluation with measurable impact.

Qualification

  • PhD in Philosophy or nearing completion with a strong research record; evidence of promising scholarly work.
  • Demonstrated publication record in peer reviewed venues and conferences.
  • Expertise in ethics, logic, epistemology, philosophy of mind, or related areas; ability to teach core courses.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills; experience presenting to diverse audiences.
