Responsibility
- Lead the design and execution of physics experiments in a defined subfield, ensuring rigorous methodology and high-quality data collection.
- Develop and implement data analysis pipelines using Python, MATLAB, and statistical tools to extract meaningful insights from complex datasets.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to interpret results and publish findings in peer-reviewed journals.
- Maintain and calibrate experimental apparatus, detectors, and instrumentation to ensure optimal performance.
- Plan and conduct simulations to support experimental design and interpretation of results.
- Mentor junior researchers and contribute to grant writing and proposal development.
Qualification
- PhD in physics or a closely related field, or equivalent research experience in experimental or theoretical physics.
- Strong hands on experience with experimental methods and instrumentation relevant to subfield (e.g., detectors, spectroscopy, cryogenics, optics).
- Proficiency in data analysis with Python, MATLAB, or similar tools; experience with statistical modeling and uncertainty analysis.
- Proven track record of publishing results in peer reviewed journals and presenting at conferences.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team.
- Ability to design, execute, and troubleshoot complex experiments with attention to detail and safety compliance.
