Join Apex AI Labs as a Senior AI Research Engineer to shape the next generation of scalable AI products. This role blends research excellence with practical system design, enabling our customers to realize impactful AI solutions securely and ethically.
As part of a cross functional team, you will lead efforts in model development, evaluation, and deployment, while driving best practices for experimentation, MLOps, and model governance.
Responsibility
- Lead end-to-end AI product development from problem framing to deployment and monitoring in production.
- Collaborate with product, data science, and platform teams to define roadmaps and translate business goals into AI solutions.
- Develop, train, and optimize models using PyTorch/TensorFlow, ensuring robust evaluation and reproducibility.
- Design and implement scalable data pipelines and experiment tracking frameworks to accelerate iteration.
- Govern model safety, fairness, and reliability; conduct bias analysis and failure mode investigations.
- Oversee deployment to cloud platforms with CI/CD pipelines and observability tooling.
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to code reviews, architecture decisions, and best practices.
Qualification
- Master's or PhD in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Applied Math, or a related field; or equivalent practical experience.
- 5+ years in AI/ML research and software engineering with a strong track record of shipped models.
- Proficiency in Python and ML frameworks (PyTorch, TensorFlow) and experience with ML Ops tools.
- Hands-on experience deploying ML models in production on cloud platforms (AWS/GCP/Azure) and using containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes).
- Strong fundamentals in probability, statistics, data structures, and numerical methods.
- Experience in NLP, Computer Vision, or Reinforcement Learning; publications or patents are a plus.
- Excellent collaboration, communication, and problem-solving skills; ability to lead cross-functional teams.
