Responsibility
- Plan and lead field surveys, assign crew tasks, and ensure safety and QA/QC across all operations.
- Operate GNSS RTK systems, robotic total stations, and handheld devices to collect boundary, topographic, and control data.
- Verify field data against design plans; document field notes and weather/resourcing impacts.
- Stakeout critical points, monitor construction progress, and provide as-built surveys as required.
- Collaborate with the office and GIS team to transfer data into CAD/Civil 3D and GIS workflows.
- Manage data quality, metadata, and project documentation for audit trails and client reporting.
- Ensure compliance with local surveying laws, safety regulations, and permitting requirements.
Qualification
- Bachelor’s degree in Surveying, Geomatics, Civil Engineering, or related field; or equivalent field experience.
- Professional Surveyor license or the ability to obtain licensure in Colorado within 12-18 months.
- 4+ years of field surveying experience, with hands-on boundary and topographic projects.
- Proficiency with GNSS RTK, robotic total stations, and laser scanning; strong AutoCAD Civil 3D skills.
- Solid knowledge of GIS concepts, data management, and QA/QC procedures.
- Excellent communication, client service, and project management abilities; strong safety mindset.
- Ability to lift 50 lbs, perform fieldwork in varying weather, and travel to project sites as needed.
