Responsibility

  • Lead and manage fossil energy projects from concept through execution, ensuring on-time delivery and budget adherence.
  • Provide front-end engineering and design oversight with emphasis on safety, reliability, and regulatory compliance.
  • Optimize asset performance through reservoir management, production optimization, and process improvements.
  • Develop risk registers, contingency plans, and mitigation strategies for major capital initiatives.
  • Collaborate with drilling, operations, environmental, and commercial teams to align technical scope with business objectives.
  • Mentor and develop junior engineers, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.
  • Maintain rigorous documentation, compliance with API, OSHA, and company standards, and support internal and external audits.

Qualification

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical, Petroleum, Chemical Engineering, or a closely related field.
  • 8+ years of experience in fossil energy, oil & gas, or equivalent technical environments.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license is highly preferred; progressing candidates will be considered with EIT.
  • Strong expertise in reservoir simulation, process optimization, and production engineering tools.
  • Proven project management skills, budgeting, scheduling, and cross-functional leadership.
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and analytical problem-solving abilities.
  • Knowledge of applicable codes and standards API, OSHA, and environmental health and safety best practices.
  • Willingness to travel up to 20% as required.
