We are seeking a Senior History Content Strategist to lead the development of compelling, accurate history content for audiences worldwide. You will collaborate with historians, educators, archivists, and digital teams to shape narratives that educate, engage, and inspire.
In this role, you will shape content strategy across scholarly publications, public programs, digital experiences, and exhibitions, ensuring rigorous research and accessible storytelling.

Responsibility
- Lead development of historical content strategy across digital platforms, exhibitions, and publications.
- Conduct rigorous primary and secondary source research; verify facts; manage citations and bibliographies.
- Collaborate with historians, educators, designers, and technologists to produce engaging, accessible content for diverse audiences.
- Oversee editorial process: fact-checking, copyediting, and adherence to citation standards.
- Manage project timelines, budgets, and stakeholder expectations for multiple concurrent programs.
- Mentor and train junior researchers, interns, and content producers.
- Build partnerships with museums, libraries, and academic institutions to source materials and expertise.
Qualification
- Master's degree in History, Public History, or a related field; PhD preferred.
- 5+ years of professional experience in historical research, content strategy, or public history.
- Demonstrated ability to translate complex historical topics into clear, engaging narratives for broad audiences.
- Proven track record of high-quality writing, editing, and fact-checking; familiarity with Chicago/Turabian, MLA, or APA citation styles.
- Experience with digital humanities tools, CMS platforms, and basic data visualization.
- Strong organizational skills, project management, and ability to collaborate cross-functionally.
- Proficiency with archival research methods; experience working with libraries, archives, and special collections.
