Job description
Join Apex Manufacturing Technologies as a Senior Industrial Production Engineer. You will lead process optimization across high-volume assembly lines, champion lean initiatives, and drive continuous improvement in safety, quality, and delivery.
In this hands-on role, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, implement, and sustain efficient manufacturing processes that meet customer demand and quality standards.
Responsibility
- Lead design and optimization of manufacturing processes for high-volume production lines to improve throughput and reduce cycle times.
- Deploy Lean, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement methodologies to meet safety, quality, delivery, and cost targets.
- Analyze production data, develop KPIs, and implement data-driven countermeasures.
- Collaborate with engineering, maintenance, and operations to implement process changes with minimal disruption.
- Lead root-cause problem solving for quality issues and drive corrective actions (CAPA).
- Champion TPM and preventive maintenance programs to maximize equipment availability.
- Drive standard work, visual management, and operator training to ensure consistent processes.
Qualification
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Manufacturing Engineering or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in industrial production or manufacturing engineering.
- Strong knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma (Green Belt or higher) and continuous improvement.
- Experience with PLCs, MES/ERP systems (SAP, Oracle), and data analytics tools.
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Understanding of quality systems (ISO 9001, IFS) and CAPA processes.
- Willingness to be on-site in Charlotte, NC (some travel may be required).
