Join ApexInfra Group as a Senior Infrastructure Development Engineer in London. You will lead multi-disciplinary teams to plan, design, and deliver complex urban infrastructure projects that shape the cities of tomorrow. As part of our global practice, you will collaborate with stakeholders across municipal authorities, engineering consultants, and construction partners to ensure projects meet performance, budget, and schedule targets while upholding the highest standards of regulatory compliance and environmental stewardship.
Responsibility
- Lead end-to-end planning, design, and delivery of major infrastructure projects (transport, utilities, drainage, and smart city initiatives) in urban environments.
- Coordinate with civil, electrical, and environmental teams to ensure integrated design and constructability.
- Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, risk registers, and performance metrics; produce regular stakeholder updates.
- Manage permitting, regulatory approvals, and community engagement to secure timely project progression.
- Implement value engineering and sustainability strategies to optimize lifecycle costs and carbon impact.
- Oversee quality assurance, safety programs, and compliance with applicable standards (UK Building Regulations, NEC/Eurocodes where relevant).
- Mentor and develop junior engineers; promote a culture of safety, integrity, and continuous improvement.
Qualification
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Structural, or Infrastructure Engineering; Master’s preferred; Chartered Engineer status a plus.
- Minimum 7 years of infrastructure project delivery experience, preferably in urban development or transport sectors.
- Proven expertise with project controls, cost estimation, risk management, and BIM-enabled workflows.
- Strong knowledge of UK standards, permitting processes, environmental assessment, and stakeholder engagement.
- Proficiency with project management tools (Primavera P6, MS Project) and design software (AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Revit).
- Excellent communication, leadership, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Ability to travel regionally as required (up to 20-30%).
