Join a leading language services firm in London as a Senior Interpretation Specialist. You will provide high-quality English-Spanish interpretation for conferences, meetings, and virtual events with discretion and professionalism.
We partner with multinational clients across finance, technology, and healthcare. You will work with a dedicated team, maintain glossaries, and ensure accurate, culturally aware interpretation under pressure. This is a full-time, on-site role with opportunities for remote preparation support.
Responsibility
- Deliver accurate consecutive and simultaneous interpretation for conferences, meetings, and events in English and Spanish.
- Prepare and maintain terminology glossaries, style guides, and subject-matter knowledge across industries.
- Provide interpretation services in booth or remote settings using standard equipment and platforms.
- Collaborate with clients and event organizers to plan logistics, run-of-show, and on-site coordination.
- Mentor junior interpreters and contribute to team quality initiatives and training.
- Manage interpretation equipment, remote platforms, and troubleshooting during live assignments.
- Ensure confidentiality, ethics, and cultural sensitivity in all assignments and client engagements.
Qualification
- Bachelor's degree in interpretation, translation, linguistics, or an equivalent professional program.
- 5+ years of professional interpretation experience in live settings, including conferences and large meetings.
- Native or near-native Spanish with professional English proficiency; strong command of region-specific terminology.
- Proven experience in both consecutive and simultaneous interpretation and booth operations.
- Proficiency with interpretation equipment and remote platforms; comfort with on-site and hybrid events.
- Strong memory, note-taking, public speaking, and cross-cultural communication skills.
- Professional certifications or AIIC/recognized accreditation preferred.
