As a senior leader on the programs team, you will partner with DoD customers, prime contractors, and internal teams to ensure on-time delivery and superior outcomes.

Responsibility

  • Lead and manage complex defense programs from planning through delivery, on time and within budget.
  • Coordinate with DoD customers, prime contractors, and internal stakeholders to define requirements and milestones.
  • Develop and maintain integrated master schedules, budgets, risk registers, and performance metrics (EVM where applicable).
  • Ensure compliance with FAR/DFARS, security clearances, export controls, and contract terms.
  • Manage cross-functional teams across engineering, logistics, and quality assurance; mentor project personnel.
  • Communicate program status to executives and customers with concise, data-driven reporting.
  • Highlight and mitigate program risks, scope changes, and supplier performance issues.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence.

Qualification

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field; Master’s preferred.
  • Minimum 8 years of defense program management experience; DAWIA or PMP certification preferred.
  • Deep knowledge of DoD procurement processes, FAR/DFARS, and program governance.
  • Experience with earned value management, cost control, and financial forecasting.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain security clearance; active clearance preferred.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Proficiency with project management tools (MS Project, Primavera) and data visualization.
  • Willingness to travel up to 15-20% as needed.
