Responsibility
- Lead and manage complex US federal, multi-state, and local tax planning for mid-market and multinational clients.
- Oversee tax compliance processes, including preparation and review of federal and state returns, estimates, and extensions.
- Provide international tax guidance on inbound and outbound investments, treaty benefits, and BEPS considerations.
- Collaborate with finance teams on tax provisions (ASC 740) and financial reporting requirements.
- Develop innovative tax strategies to optimize cash flows, credits, and incentives while mitigating risk.
- Mentor and develop junior staff; contribute to business development and client relationship management.
- Stay current with tax law changes and regulatory developments; represent clients in audit and controversy matters when required.
Qualification
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Taxation, or related field; professional credentials such as CPA or Enrolled Agent preferred; J.D. with tax focus welcome.
- Minimum 5 years of tax consulting experience, preferably with Big Four or a leading mid-market firm.
- Deep knowledge of US federal, state, and local tax laws; international tax experience a plus.
- Experience with ASC 740 tax provisions, tax compliance software, and data analytics tools.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills; ability to explain complex concepts clearly to non-specialists.
- Demonstrated client management and business development experience; ability to lead engagements and cultivate relationships.
- Detail-oriented with excellent project management and time management capabilities; ability to handle multiple engagements concurrently.
- Willingness to obtain or maintain required credentials; U.S. work authorization.
