As a Shift Leader, you will oversee all activities on your shift, ensuring we meet production plans, safety standards, and quality requirements. You will supervise and develop frontline operators, coordinate with Maintenance and Quality colleagues, and drive problem-solving to minimize downtime and waste. You will manage handovers, maintain shift logs and documentation, and communicate clearly with cross-functional teams to keep operations running smoothly.

Responsibility
- Lead daily shift operations for your assigned production line to meet daily output targets and quality standards.
- Supervise and develop frontline operators, assign tasks, coach performance, and conduct on-the-job training.
- Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory requirements; maintain accurate shift handovers and production logs.
- Monitor key performance indicators such as output, yield, scrap, and downtime; drive root cause analysis and corrective actions.
- Coordinate with Maintenance, Quality, and Planning to resolve issues and preserve production continuity.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives (5S, lean manufacturing) and participate in process optimization projects.
- Manage start-up, changeover, and shutdown activities; ensure product traceability and accurate documentation.
- Foster a collaborative, high-performance team culture that prioritizes safety, quality, and accountability.
Qualification
- Diploma or degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related field; or equivalent industry experience.
- 2-5 years of experience in shift leadership or frontline supervision within manufacturing, preferably in medical devices or similar regulated environments.
- Strong knowledge of GMP/ISO 13485 and safety regulations; experience with root cause analysis and corrective actions.
- Proven leadership and people-management skills; excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to work rotating shifts, weekends, and overtime as required.
- Proficiency with manufacturing software (MES/ERP) and basic data analysis; strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Fluency in English; proficiency in Bahasa Malaysia is a plus for cross-functional communication.
