We are seeking a proactive Volunteer Outreach Coordinator to expand our programs, recruit volunteers, and support community initiatives. This is a part time, unpaid role designed for individuals who want to gain hands on nonprofit experience while making a real difference in Seattle and surrounding neighborhoods. Training and mentorship provided.

Responsibility
- Develop and implement outreach strategies to recruit volunteers for programs and events.
- Coordinate volunteer onboarding, training, and scheduling to ensure a positive volunteer experience.
- Collaborate with program staff to align volunteer efforts with community needs and project timelines.
- Manage outreach campaigns across channels including social media, email, and local partnerships.
- Support event planning and day-of operations for volunteer-driven events.
- Track volunteer impact metrics and prepare regular reports for leadership.
- Build relationships with schools, community groups, nonprofits, and local businesses to expand the volunteer base.
Qualification
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a service mindset
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks
- Experience coordinating volunteers or events is a plus
- Comfort with public speaking and presenting to diverse groups
- Proficiency with basic computer tools and social media for outreach
- Ability to work independently, collaboratively, and adapt to changing needs
- Passion for community service and equity in access to volunteer opportunities
