Responsibility
- Monitor crop health, soil moisture, and nutrient status using field scouting and sensor data.
- Manage irrigation scheduling and water use to maximize efficiency and minimize waste.
- Assist with planting, pruning, fertilization, and harvest operations with attention to timing and quality.
- Collect and validate field data; prepare weekly reports for the agronomy team.
- Apply integrated pest management practices and safe chemical handling in compliance with protocols.
- Maintain equipment, tools, and facilities to ensure safe and productive operations.
- Collaborate with farm operations to optimize field workflows and labor planning.
- Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and quality standards.
Qualification
- High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree in agriculture, horticulture, or related field preferred.
- 1+ year of experience in farm operations, greenhouse, or field scouting.
- Basic knowledge of soil science, irrigation, crop management, and pest control.
- Proficiency in data collection and analysis using Excel or Google Sheets.
- Ability to operate basic farm equipment and perform manual labor as needed.
- Strong communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.
- Willingness to follow safety protocols and environmental regulations.
- Valid driver's license; ability to travel between fields as required.
