Responsibility
- Lead day-to-day farm operations across planting, irrigation, fertilization, pest management, harvest, and logistics.
- Develop and execute annual production plans aligned with market demand and resource availability.
- Implement precision agriculture techniques, data-driven decision making, and yield optimization strategies.
- Manage staffing, training, safety compliance, and performance metrics for field teams.
- Collaborate with agronomists and quality teams to ensure crop quality and sustainability standards.
- Oversee vendor relationships, equipment maintenance, and budget adherence.
- Monitor environmental and regulatory compliance, including water use and worker safety.
- Drive continuous improvement projects to reduce costs and increase efficiency.
Qualification
- Bachelor's degree in agronomy, agriculture, horticulture, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 5+ years of experience in farm or greenhouse operations and production planning.
- Strong knowledge of irrigation systems, soil health, pest management, and crop physiology.
- Experience with data analytics, farm management software, and precision agriculture tools.
- Demonstrated leadership and ability to manage cross-functional teams.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and safety compliance mindset.
- Willingness to travel to field sites as needed and occasional weekend coverage during peak seasons.
