HarvestEdge AgriTech is a forward-thinking leader in sustainable farming solutions. We’re seeking an experienced Agriculture Operations Manager to oversee field operations across our Salinas Valley projects. You’ll combine agronomy knowledge with operations leadership to optimize yields, resource use, and team performance.
In this role you’ll partner with data science, irrigation specialists, and farm crews to execute precision agriculture strategies that boost crop health and profitability.
Responsibility
- Lead day-to-day field operations across multiple plots, ensuring safety, productivity, and quality standards.
- Develop and implement crop management plans leveraging soil, water, and environmental data to optimize yields.
- Manage labor, equipment, and contractor scheduling to maximize efficiency and minimize costs.
- Collaborate with agronomy and data teams to deploy precision irrigation, fertigation, and disease monitoring programs.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPI) and generate actionable insights for continuous improvement.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory and food safety standards, and maintain accurate records.
- Foster a culture of safety, training, and continuous learning among field staff.
Qualification
- Bachelor’s degree in Agronomy, Agriculture, Horticulture, or related field; Master’s preferred.
- 5+ years in agricultural operations, farm management, or crop production with leadership experience.
- Strong understanding of precision agriculture, irrigation systems, and soil/water management.
- Proven ability to manage budgets, schedules, and cross-functional teams.
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and data interpretation skills.
- Willingness to travel between field sites in the Salinas Valley; valid driver’s license required.
