We are seeking a results-driven Agriculture Operations Manager to lead our field operations in the Sacramento region. This role blends hands-on farming leadership with data-driven decision making to optimize yields, quality, and sustainability.

Responsibility
- Oversee day-to-day field operations across multiple crops, ensuring timeliness and quality.
- Develop and implement crop plans, irrigation schedules, fertigation, and pest management strategies.
- Monitor soil, water, and microclimate data; use precision agriculture tools to optimize inputs and yields.
- Lead a team of farm workers, providing training, scheduling, safety adherence, and performance feedback.
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal agricultural regulations; maintain accurate records and reporting.
- Collaborate with procurement, logistics, and sales to align production with market demand.
- Drive sustainability initiatives, including resource efficiency, waste reduction, and soil health programs.
Qualification
- Bachelor's degree in agronomy, horticulture, soil science, agricultural engineering, or related field; or equivalent experience.
- 3+ years of experience in farm operations, agronomy, or precision agriculture.
- Strong knowledge of irrigation systems, fertigation, soil moisture management, and pest control.
- Data literacy with experience using farm management software; GIS experience is a plus.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills; ability to manage diverse teams.
- Familiarity with safety, environmental, and labor regulations; ability to implement compliance programs.
- Willingness to travel to field sites and occasional weekend coverage during peak seasons.
