Verdant Valley AgroTech is seeking an Agriculture Specialist to join our field-focused team in Fresno, CA. This role blends agronomic science with practical farming execution to optimize crop performance and drive data-informed decisions for growers and partners.

Responsibility
- Plan and conduct field trials to evaluate crop varieties, irrigation regimes, and fertilizer strategies.
- Collect and analyze agronomic data; translate findings into practical recommendations for farmers and partners.
- Design experiments with clear hypotheses, controls, and replicates; monitor progress and document results.
- Coordinate with breeders, technicians, and sales to support product deployment and field demonstrations.
- Ensure compliance with safety, regulatory, and environmental guidelines; maintain accurate records.
- Utilize precision agriculture tools (sensor data, GIS, and farm management software) to optimize inputs.
- Prepare reports and present insights to internal teams and clients to drive decision making.
Qualification
- Bachelor’s degree in Agronomy, Plant Science, Agricultural Engineering, or related field.
- 2+ years in field agronomy, crop production, or data-driven agriculture roles.
- Proficiency with data analysis tools (Excel; SQL; Python is a plus) and basic GIS concepts.
- Strong field work ethic, problem-solving skills, and effective communication.
- Experience with farm management software and precision agriculture technologies.
- Knowledge of crop physiology, irrigation systems, soil fertility, and sustainability practices.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in cross-functional teams.
