Responsibility
- Lead field scouting, data collection, and soil moisture monitoring to inform irrigation decisions.
- Analyze satellite imagery and sensor data to optimize fertilizer and water use.
- Collaborate with agronomists to develop site-specific crop plans and yield projections.
- Manage trials and documentation for sustainable farming practices and regulatory compliance.
- Implement and troubleshoot precision agriculture tools including drones, GIS, and sensor networks.
- Prepare clear reports and dashboards for farm managers and stakeholders.
- Train farm staff on data-driven farming methods and safety protocols.
- Support environmental and food safety compliance programs.
Qualification
- Bachelor's degree in agronomy, agriculture, life sciences, or a related field; master's preferred.
- 2+ years in field operations or precision agriculture roles.
- Experience with data analysis, GIS (ArcGIS or QGIS), and farm management software.
- Proficiency in Python or R for data analysis; SQL is a plus.
- Strong understanding of crop physiology, irrigation, soil science, and crop nutrition.
- Excellent communication, project management, and problem-solving skills.
- Willingness to travel to field sites and work flexible hours during peak seasons.
