GreenLeaf AgroTech is seeking a results-driven Agronomist to lead our field-scale crop programs in Davis, California. This is a hands-on, data-driven role focused on improving yield, quality, and sustainability across diversified crops. You will collaborate with production teams, researchers, and agronomy partners to implement best practices, validate new technologies, and scale successful trials into operations.

Responsibility
- Design, implement, and monitor field trials and on-farm experiments to optimize yield, quality, and input efficiency.
- Lead precision agriculture initiatives, including soil sensing, irrigation scheduling, and variable-rate input applications.
- Analyze agronomic data and generate actionable recommendations for growers and production teams.
- Collaborate with research and operations teams to scale proven practices across multiple crops and sites.
- Monitor crop health, nutrient status, pest and disease pressures; coordinate timely interventions.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards, safety, and environmental regulations; maintain high-quality documentation.
- Provide training and guidance to agronomy staff, technicians, and field crews.
- Stay abreast of market trends, new inputs, and regulatory requirements affecting farming operations.
Qualification
- Bachelor’s degree in Agronomy, Crop Science, Soil Science, Agricultural Engineering, or a related field; a Master’s degree is a plus.
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in agronomy, field trials, and farm operations within diversified cropping systems.
- Strong proficiency with precision agriculture tools, GIS, data analysis, and interpretation of agronomic data.
- Knowledge of irrigation management, soil health, nutrient management, and integrated pest management.
- Excellent communication, project management, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Ability to travel to partner farms and research locations as needed; valid driver's license.
- Certification such as Certified Crop Adviser (CCA) or equivalent is preferred.
- Proven track record of implementing sustainable farming practices that improve yield and profitability.
