GreenFields AgroTech is a forward‑looking leader in sustainable farming solutions. We partner with growers to optimize yields while protecting soil health and the environment. We are seeking an experienced Agronomy Operations Manager to lead field programs in the Salinas Valley.

In this role you will combine agronomy expertise with operations leadership to drive performance, safety, and profitability across multiple farms.

Responsibility

  • Lead the design and execution of agronomy programs across multiple fields, optimizing yields and quality.
  • Plan and supervise day-to-day field operations, planting, irrigation, fertigation, and harvest scheduling.
  • Monitor soil health, nutrient management, pest/disease scouting, and implement integrated pest management strategies.
  • Analyze field data using sensors, soil tests, and GIS to inform decision-making and record-keeping.
  • Manage vendor relationships, equipment maintenance, and supply chain for inputs and harvest logistics.
  • Develop and manage budgets, KPIs, and performance dashboards to track progress against goals.
  • Lead a cross-functional team, ensure safety compliance, and coach staff for continuous improvement.

Qualification

  • Bachelor's degree in agronomy, crop science, soil science, or related field; advanced degree preferred.
  • 5+ years of hands-on farming operations, agronomy, or farm management experience in row crops or specialty crops.
  • Strong data analytics skills and experience with farm management software; familiarity with GIS is a plus.
  • Demonstrated leadership, project management, and team-building abilities.
  • Deep knowledge of irrigation systems, soil health, nutrient management, and pest control.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to travel between sites within the Salinas Valley and adapt to seasonal demands.
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States.
