Responsibility
- Plan and execute field trials across multiple crops, monitoring variables like soil moisture, nutrient status, and pest pressure.
- Analyze trial data to generate actionable agronomic recommendations for growers and internal teams.
- Collaborate with researchers, extension services, and farmers to optimize irrigation and fertilizer programs.
- Maintain accurate trial records, ensure data integrity, and report findings to stakeholders.
- Lead farmer outreach and knowledge transfer sessions to promote best practices.
- Support sustainability initiatives by evaluating cover crops, soil health, and reduced-input scenarios.
Qualification
- Bachelor's degree in agronomy, soil science, agribusiness, or related field; advanced degree preferred.
- 3+ years in field agronomy, crop science, or agricultural consulting.
- Experience with data analysis tools (Excel advanced, R or Python) and GIS is a plus.
- Strong knowledge of crop physiology, soil health, irrigation management and pest control.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to travel regionally up to 50%.
- Problem-solving mindset, attention to detail, and project management capabilities.
