Join Harborfield Global Auditing as an Auditing Manager in London. You will lead complex audits, assess control environments, and advise on risk mitigation. This role blends analytical rigor with strategic business partnering and opportunities for professional growth.
We expect you to navigate regulatory requirements, coordinate with clients, and mentor junior staff while delivering high-quality, insightful audit reports. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the highest standards of accuracy, integrity, and compliance.
Responsibility
- Lead planning and risk assessment for audits, including scoping, materiality, and engagement budgeting.
- Supervise fieldwork, perform substantive testing, and evaluate internal controls across diverse clients.
- Identify control weaknesses, document findings, and develop actionable remediation recommendations.
- Manage client relationships, communicate findings clearly, and present audit results to management and audit committees.
- Ensure audits comply with UK auditing standards (ISA UK) and applicable regulatory requirements.
- Mentor and train junior staff, provide performance feedback, and foster a culture of quality and continuous improvement.
- Contribute to methodology improvements and support quality control via internal reviews and PEER assessments.
Qualification
- Professional designation such as ACA, ACCA, CA, CPA, or equivalent; 4+ years of progressive internal or external audit experience.
- Strong knowledge of UK auditing standards (ISA UK) and regulatory requirements.
- Proven experience leading audit engagements for complex or listed clients.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and client-management skills; ability to distill complex issues into clear recommendations.
- Proficiency with audit software (CaseWare, IDEA, ACL) and data analytics tools; comfortable with Excel modeling.
- Ability to travel as required (up to 20-30% depending on client needs).
- Demonstrated leadership, teamwork, and capability to mentor junior staff.
