Responsibility

  • Lead design and analysis of electrical power systems for utility-scale and renewable projects, including HV/LV distribution, protection, and system coordination.
  • Perform load flow, short-circuit, and transient studies using ETAP, PSS/E, or DIgSILENT.
  • Develop protection schemes, relay settings, and protection coordination studies for substations and distribution networks.
  • Collaborate with civil, mechanical, and controls teams to ensure seamless integration of switchgear, transformers, and grid interfaces.
  • Review and approve electrical drawings, specifications, and bills of material; manage technical interfaces with vendors.
  • Support commissioning, testing, and startup activities, including FATs and site acceptance.
  • Ensure compliance with standards such as IEEE, NEC, and IEC, and uphold rigorous electrical safety practices.
  • Provide mentorship and technical guidance to junior engineers and interns.

Qualification

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering; Master’s preferred; PE license is a plus or eligible.
  • 5+ years of experience in electrical power systems, grid interconnection, or renewable integration.
  • Proficiency in power system analysis software (ETAP, PSS/E, DIgSILENT) and CAD tools (AutoCAD, Revit, EPLAN).
  • Strong knowledge of protection relays and devices from major vendors; experience with relay coordination.
  • Familiarity with IEC, IEEE standards and NEC requirements, and strong safety compliance mindset.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and project management skills with a problem-solving orientation.
  • Ability to work across teams and manage multiple projects simultaneously; willingness to travel up to 20%.
