Responsibility
- Diagnose and repair drivability, electrical, and mechanical issues across a wide range of vehicles.
- Perform preventive maintenance in accordance with manufacturer specifications and shop standards.
- Use electronic diagnostic tools and hand tools to identify root causes and implement effective fixes.
- Interpret service data, schematics, and technical bulletins to plan efficient repairs.
- Collaborate with service advisers to communicate findings, timelines, and recommendations to customers.
- Maintain a clean, organized workspace and adhere to safety and environmental policies.
- Document all work performed and update repair orders in the system.
- Mentor junior technicians and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement.
Qualification
- 2+ years of experience as an automotive technician or mechanic in a fast-paced shop.
- Proficiency with OBD-II diagnostic tools, scanners, and electrical systems.
- Strong knowledge of braking systems, engines, transmissions, steering, and suspension.
- Ability to read and interpret OEM service data, schematics, and bulletins.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Valid driver's license; clean driving record.
