We’re seeking a proactive, data-driven leader who can translate agronomic insights into actionable plans, collaborate with agronomy, irrigation, and harvest teams, and drive continuous improvement in an agile farming environment.
Responsibility
- Lead and coordinate day-to-day field operations across crops, ensuring on-time planting, irrigation, and harvest.
- Develop and execute annual farming plans with emphasis on irrigation efficiency and soil health.
- Manage equipment maintenance, safety protocols, and regulatory compliance.
- Monitor production KPIs, yield targets, quality metrics, and cost control.
- Collaborate with agronomy and extension partners to optimize fertilization and pest management.
- Lead, train, and retain a high-performance field team; schedule shifts and performance reviews.
- Implement precision agriculture technologies, data collection, and analytics to improve decision-making.
Qualification
- Bachelor's degree in Agricultural Science, agronomy, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 5+ years of farming operations or farm management experience in row crops; irrigation systems experience preferred.
- Strong understanding of soil science, crop nutrition, pest management, and harvest logistics.
- Experience with precision agriculture tools, sensors, data analytics, and farm management software.
- Proven leadership, communication, and safety compliance.
- Ability to work in Fresno climate; willingness to travel between fields as needed.
- Problem-solving mindset with the ability to adapt to seasonal demands.
