Responsibility

  • Lead the design, launch, and ongoing optimization of fitness programs and classes across small-group, large-group, and specialty formats.
  • Manage scheduling, capacity planning, and trainer allocation to maximize member satisfaction and facility utilization.
  • Coach and develop a high-performing team of trainers through ongoing feedback, performance reviews, and mentorship.
  • Collaborate with marketing to create compelling program campaigns and member engagement initiatives that drive retention and referrals.
  • Analyze program KPIs (attendance, retention, NPS) and implement data-driven improvements.
  • Ensure safety, accuracy, and quality control for all programming with adherence to health regulations and facility standards.
  • Oversee onboarding and continuous education for staff on coaching methods, equipment usage, and injury prevention.
  • Foster an inclusive, motivating, and results-oriented culture for staff and members alike.

Qualification

  • Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science, Kinesiology, Sports Management, or related field; or equivalent professional experience.
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in fitness programming, gym management, or group fitness leadership.
  • Proven track record of growing class attendance, improving member satisfaction, and achieving KPIs.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and conflict resolution skills; ability to inspire teams and build relationships across departments.
  • Knowledge of program design, periodization, injury prevention, and safety protocols; basic nutrition knowledge is a plus.
  • Excellent organizational skills and experience with scheduling tools and CRM systems; data-driven mindset.
  • Certification such as ACSM, ACE, NASM, or equivalent preferred.
