Responsibility

  • Develop, implement, and oversee comprehensive food safety and quality assurance programs in compliance with FSMA, FDA, and USDA regulations.
  • Lead audits, inspections, and third-party certifications to ensure operational excellence and regulatory adherence.
  • Conduct root cause analyses, establish corrective/preventive actions, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Provide ongoing training and mentorship to production and QA teams on best practices and regulatory updates.
  • Collaborate with R&D, operations, and supply chain to enhance product safety and consistency.
  • Manage customer complaint investigations and deliver effective resolutions in a timely manner.
  • Monitor and report key quality metrics to senior leadership, supporting data-driven decision making.

Qualification

  • Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Microbiology, or related field (Master’s preferred).
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in food safety or quality management in a food manufacturing environment.
  • In-depth knowledge of FSMA, HACCP, SQF/BRC, GMPs, and FDA/USDA regulations.
  • Certified SQF Practitioner, PCQI, or similar certifications strongly desired.
  • Exceptional analytical, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven leadership in managing diverse teams and cross-functional projects.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Experience with database/reporting platforms is a plus.
