What you will do
- Install, repair, and maintain residential and commercial HVAC systems, including furnaces, condensers, heat pumps, and air handlers.
- Perform system diagnostics, airflow measurements, refrigerant recovery, and electrical checks to ensure optimal performance.
- Interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals; select and install appropriate components and controls.
- Diagnose and repair refrigerant leaks, perform charging, and ensure compliance with environmental regulations.
- Conduct preventative maintenance, safety inspections, and system cleanings; document service visits and outcomes.
- Provide clear communication to customers; present options, timelines, and cost estimates.
- Collaborate with installation teams for seamless project handoffs and customer satisfaction.
- Adhere to safety policies, maintain clean work areas, and ensure proper PPE usage.
Responsibility
- Install, service, and repair HVAC systems in residential and light commercial settings.
- Perform diagnostics using meters, gauges, and software; identify root causes quickly.
- Repair or replace components: compressors, fans, valves, ductwork, thermostats, and controls.
- Maintain refrigerant handling procedures and ensure compliance with EPA regulations.
- Conduct routine maintenance and tune-ups to maximize efficiency and lifespan.
- Document work orders, parts used, and customer interactions accurately.
- Ensure job sites are safe, clean, and compliant with codes and standards.
- Provide exceptional customer service and professional workmanship.
Qualification
- 2+ years of hands-on HVAC experience (residential or light commercial).
- EPA Refrigerant Recovery Certification (Section 608) or willingness to obtain within 90 days.
- EPA-based knowledge of refrigerants (R-22, R-410A) and charging procedures.
- Proficient with electrical wiring basics, controls, and safety protocols.
- Strong diagnostic skills, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication, time management, and customer service skills.
- Clean driving record; ability to lift heavy equipment and work in various environments.
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or HVAC certifications welcomed.
