Responsibility
- Install, service, diagnose, and repair residential and commercial HVAC systems, including furnaces, heat pumps, condensers, and refrigerant systems.
- Perform preventive maintenance, filter replacements, wiring checks, refrigerant recovery, and airflow optimization.
- Test and calibrate thermostats, controls, and BAS/ECM components to ensure optimal performance.
- Respond to service calls promptly, document work performed, and communicate findings with customers and the office.
- Diagnose and repair electrical components, motors, belts, condensers, and ductwork while ensuring safety compliance.
- Keep work areas clean, organized, and in compliance with local codes and company standards.
- Provide exceptional customer service, explain repairs and maintenance plans, and upsell appropriate service options.
- Document parts usage, order replacements, and maintain accurate inventory for vans and shop.
Qualification
- 2+ years of hands-on HVAC experience in service, installation, or maintenance roles.
- EPA Refrigerant Handling Certification (or willingness to obtain within 60 days).
- Proficient knowledge of electrical circuits, wiring diagrams, and refrigeration systems.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to diagnose complex systems quickly.
- Excellent communication and customer service abilities; able to explain technical issues to non-technical clients.
- Valid driver's license with clean driving record; ability to pass background checks and drug screen.
- Ability to lift 50 lbs, work in crawl spaces/attics, and perform physical tasks in varied conditions.
- Willingness to participate in on-call rotation and occasional after-hours work as needed.
