BluePeak HVAC Solutions is seeking a skilled HVAC Technician to join our growing team in Austin, TX. This full-time role offers competitive pay, comprehensive benefits, and opportunities for advancement.
In this role you will install, service, and repair residential and commercial heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems. You will diagnose issues, perform preventive maintenance, and ensure all work complies with safety and code requirements. Responsibility
- Install, diagnose, repair, and maintain heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration systems (furnaces, A/C units, heat pumps, ductwork) in residential and light commercial settings.
- Perform accurate system diagnostics using testing equipment; interpret schematics and wiring diagrams.
- Conduct routine maintenance, filter changes, coil cleaning, refrigerant level checks, and thermostat calibrations.
- Troubleshoot electrical components, motors, gas lines, and refrigerant circuits; ensure proper charge and airflow.
- Provide clear, courteous communication with customers; present repair plans and upgrade recommendations.
- Adhere to safety standards, building codes, EPA handling rules, and company policies; maintain a clean, stocked job site.
- Collaborate with dispatch and service coordinators; participate in on-call rotation when required.
Qualification
- Minimum 2 years of proven HVAC installation and service experience in residential or light commercial settings.
- EPA Section 608 Certification required; NATE certification preferred.
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record; ability to pass background and drug screening.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals.
- Strong problem-solving skills; excellent communication and customer-service abilities.
- Physical capability to lift up to 50 lbs, crawl in tight spaces, and operate hand and power tools safely.
- Willingness to participate in on-call rotation and occasional after-hours work as needed.
