Responsibility
- Install, repair, and service heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration systems in residential and light commercial settings.
- Perform system diagnostics, troubleshoot electrical and mechanical components, and document findings.
- Inspect, clean, and replace filters, refrigerant lines, and ductwork to optimize performance.
- Rely on codes and safety guidelines to ensure compliant installations and service calls.
- Assist in system commissioning, start-up, and testing of new equipment.
- Estimate materials and labor for service projects and communicate clearly with customers.
- Maintain accurate service reports, inventory, and vehicle readiness.
Qualification
- Minimum 2 years of HVAC field experience or a completed HVAC tech program
- EPA 608 certification required; valid license where applicable
- Strong knowledge of electrical fundamentals, refrigeration cycles, and safety codes (NEC/IPC)
- Ability to read blueprints and schematics; proficient in system troubleshooting
- Excellent problem solving, organization, and customer service skills
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record; willingness to travel on occasional service calls
- Physical ability to lift heavy equipment, crawl into tight spaces, and work in varying temperatures
