Job description
NovaForge Industries, a leading manufacturer in metal forming and assembly, is seeking an experienced Industrial Production Engineer to optimize plant operations and lead continuous improvement initiatives.
In this role you will partner with operations, maintenance, and quality teams to drive throughput, reduce waste, and ensure safety and regulatory compliance on the production floor.
Responsibility
- Lead the design and implementation of production processes to maximize efficiency and product quality.
- Analyze bottlenecks, balance lines, and standardize work to reduce cycle times.
- Drive continuous improvement programs using Lean and Six Sigma methodologies with measurable KPIs.
- Collaborate with maintenance to improve equipment reliability, MTBF, and PM effectiveness.
- Develop and maintain standard operating procedures, routings, BOMs, and production documentation.
- Lead cross-functional problem solving, root cause analysis, and corrective actions.
- Monitor safety, quality, and environmental metrics and promote a culture of safe production.
Qualification
- Bachelor's degree in Industrial, Manufacturing, or Mechanical Engineering (or related field).
- 5+ years of hands-on manufacturing or assembly experience on the shop floor.
- Strong knowledge of Lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, kaizen, and continuous improvement tools.
- Experience with MES/ERP systems, production scheduling, and BOM management.
- Data-driven problem-solving skills with proficiency in Excel, Minitab, or similar analytics tools.
- Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Safety-focused with knowledge of OSHA regulations and best practices.
- Experience with automation, robotics, or PLCs is a plus.
