Join Crestline Precision Manufacturing, a fast-growing leader in precision components for automotive and industrial sectors. We are seeking a dedicated Manufacturing Engineer to optimize processes, improve yield, and drive safety and quality across our production floor in Chicago, IL.
In this role, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams, implement lean initiatives, and lead capacity planning and line redesigns. This is a high-visibility opportunity to shape operations in a modern, data-driven environment.
Responsibility
- Lead process improvements using lean methodologies (5S, Kaizen) to reduce waste and cycle times.
- Analyze manufacturing data to drive capacity planning, line balancing, and flow optimization.
- Develop and implement process specifications, work instructions, and control plans.
- Lead new product introductions (NPIs) and line start-ups with cross-functional teams.
- Manage root-cause problem solving for quality issues using tools like 8D, DMAIC.
- Partner with maintenance and automation teams on equipment reliability and preventive maintenance.
- Collaborate with suppliers and QA to ensure incoming material quality and vendor controls.
- Mentor and train floor staff on standard work and safety protocols.
Qualification
- Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
- 3+ years of manufacturing engineering experience in a high-volume operation.
- Strong knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement methods; Green Belt or Black Belt preferred.
- Experience with ERP/MES systems, data analytics, and problem-solving tools.
- Familiarity with CNC, PLCs, automation, and quality control methodologies.
- Excellent communication, cross-functional collaboration, and project management skills.
- Safety-conscious mindset with track record of improving workplace safety.
- Hands-on troubleshooting and root-cause analysis skills.
