Job description

We are seeking a talented Lead Photographer to join our premier studio in Los Angeles. You will lead creative direction, manage shoots, and deliver high-end imagery for fashion, lifestyle, and commercial clients. The ideal candidate blends artistic vision with strong technical skills and client-facing confidence.

In this role, you will collaborate with creative directors, stylists, and makeup artists to define vision, execute on-set lighting and composition, and deliver polished imagery that aligns with brand standards.

Responsibility

  • Lead and execute high-end photo shoots (fashion, lifestyle, and commercial) from concept through delivery.
  • Collaborate with creative directors, stylists, and clients to define vision, mood, and storytelling.
  • Design and manage lighting setups, camera choices, and on-set workflow to maximize quality and efficiency.
  • Oversee post-production with the retouching team to ensure color, texture, and skin tones meet brand standards.
  • Mentor junior photographers and interns, fostering a culture of safety, creativity, and excellence.
  • Manage digital assets, backups, and metadata to ensure easy retrieval and long-term preservation.
  • Build and sustain strong client relationships, contribute to new business through compelling visuals.

Qualification

  • 5+ years of professional photography experience in fashion, beauty, or commercial markets.
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating versatility, creative concepting, and high production value.
  • Proficiency with camera systems (Canon/Nikon/Sony) and lighting gear (strobes, continuous lights, modifiers).
  • Advanced retouching skills in Adobe Photoshop and Lightroom, with color grading and skin retouching knowledge.
  • Excellent on-set leadership, communication, and client-facing skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple shoots, budgets, and tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Photography or related field preferred, or equivalent professional experience.
